Recipe for Personal Change

Brian Nelson, army major, physical guy, asks himself how he can craft a better life for himself beyond his physical training routine.  Sure, he could lift weights and enjoy getting stronger week by week, but how to strengthen the qualities that will really change his life for the better….like intentionally choosing kindness towards self and others.

Brian makes us think about the recipe we’ve been dished up by the propaganda of modern society.  He takes an honest look at our tendency for “negativity bias”, the way we remember the bad things about our lives at the expense of the good and the “confirmation bias” where we subconsciously seek out reasons to keep believing our negative self-talk rather than being open to change and transformation.
